What the till can't do yet

The till in the Tuppence app sells, splits bills, takes cash and cards by QR, and runs shifts and cash-ups. Some features are still being built.

Not yet	What to do today
Card readers and Tap to Pay	Take cards with Card by QR, or record payments on your own card machine with Other. See Connect a card reader.
Printed, emailed or texted receipts	Finish each sale with No receipt, next sale. You can set up receipt text on the register now.
Receipt printers and cash drawers	Open the drawer by hand.
Scanning barcodes	Search for the product by name or SKU.
Selling by weight, or at a price typed at the till	Add a fixed-price product or variant instead.
Refunds and returns on the till	See Refund a till sale.
Stock counts and age checks	The product settings are saved, but the till doesn’t use them yet.
Action tiles on the layout	Use the till’s menu for Shift and cash-up and Held orders.
Taking payments in the browser till	Use the till in the Tuppence app.
The kitchen screen and customer display	Not available yet.
Online ordering and sales reports	Use Payments and the shift reports on the Shifts page.
