Take cash at the till

1. Tap Charge. Cash is selected by default.
2. Tap the amount the customer gave you. The first button is the exact amount.
3. Or type the amount on the keypad, check Change, and tap Take with the amount, for example Take £12.50$12.50€12.50.
4. Give the change shown under Give change.
5. Tap No receipt, next sale.

If your location rounds cash, the rounding shows on a separate line before you take anything.

If the customer gives less than the total, the till shows what’s Still to pay. Take the rest in cash or another way.

The till says to open a shift

Cash goes in a drawer that belongs to a shift. If no shift is open, the till says “Open a shift on this register before taking cash.” Tap Open a shift, or ask a manager. See Open and close a shift.
