Move from WooCommerce
Bring your WooCommerce store to Tuppence. You see a preview before anything is written, and you can undo the import for 14 days. The full steps are in Move your store.
Who can do this: You need to be an owner, admin or manager to do this.
What to export
Section titled “What to export”Connect your WooCommerce site with a REST API key:
- In WordPress, go to WooCommerce, then Settings, then Advanced, then REST API, and choose Add key.
- Choose Read/Write, so the stock mirror can keep both stores in step while you switch. A read-only key still imports.
- Paste your site’s address, the consumer key and the consumer secret into Tuppence.
Without a key, export your products from WordPress (Products, then Export) and upload the file instead.
Then, in Tuppence, choose Store settings, then Move your store, choose WooCommerce, and upload the files or paste the key.
What moves
Section titled “What moves”- Products and variations, customers, orders as history, coupons and pages.
Products arrive as drafts for you to review. Customers keep their marketing consent exactly as WooCommerce recorded it, and nobody is emailed because of the import.
What doesn’t move
Section titled “What doesn’t move”- Your theme and plugins, and customers’ passwords.
How long it takes
Section titled “How long it takes”Most of the time goes on exporting the files and reviewing your drafts. The import runs while you wait and shows its progress for each kind, and you can leave the page while it runs.
While you switch
Section titled “While you switch”With a Read/Write key, the stock mirror keeps your WooCommerce stock and yours the same while you switch. A refund for only some items in an order isn’t mirrored: adjust that stock by hand. The mirror starts from your count here: a sale at your old store between the import and the moment the mirror is set up isn’t counted again, because the mirror sets your old store to your count here. It runs in live mode only.
Move your domain
Section titled “Move your domain”When your store is ready, choose Store settings, then Domains, and follow Move your domain from your old store. Your email records stay as they are, your certificate is ready before anything moves, and Tuppence never changes your records itself. It runs in live mode only.
