Create a connected account

Who can do this: You need to be an owner, admin, manager or developer to do this.

1. Open Connected accounts and choose Create account.
2. Enter the Business name.
3. Optionally, enter an Email. Stripe and Tuppence write to the business there.
4. Under The business is, choose An individual or sole trader or A company.
5. Under Who pays Tuppence’s fees, choose The account, from each payment or You, the platform, from your Connect balance.
6. Optionally, enter Your fee on its payments, as a percentage and …and a fixed amount, in £$€. These start as your platform’s defaults.
7. Choose Create account.

The account appears in the list as Onboarding not started. Next, send it an onboarding link.

Who pays can't be changed

Who pays Tuppence’s fees is fixed once the account is made.

A business that already has a Tuppence account can’t be linked to your platform, because your platform owns the accounts it connects. Create a new connected account for it.

Each platform has a limit on connected accounts in each mode. To raise it, contact us.
