Move from Shopify

Bring your Shopify store to Tuppence. You see a preview before anything is written, and you can undo the import for 14 days. The full steps are in Move your store.

Who can do this: You need to be an owner, admin or manager to do this.

Export these from your Shopify admin as CSV for Excel, each from its own page:

  • Products: Products, then Export, then All products.
  • Customers: Customers, then Export, then All customers.
  • Orders: Orders, then Export.
  • Discount codes: Discounts, then Export.
  • Gift cards: Gift cards, then Export, where your plan offers it.
  • URL redirects: Online Store, then Navigation, then URL Redirects, then Export.

Or, if you made a custom app in Shopify before 2026, paste its Admin API access token instead of uploading files. Shopify only shares your last 60 days of orders with that kind of access unless the app can read all orders, so upload the orders export as well to bring the rest.

Reviews from Judge.me, Okendo, Yotpo or Shopify Product Reviews come from their own export files.

Then, in Tuppence, choose Store settings, then Move your store, choose Shopify, and upload the files or paste the key.

  • Products, variants, photos, collections, pages and blog posts.
  • Customers, with consent as Shopify recorded it.
  • Orders, as history.
  • Gift card balances (as new cards), discount codes (percentage, fixed amount and free shipping) and your URL redirects.
  • Your old product and collection addresses keep working, so links to them still land on the right page.

Products arrive as drafts for you to review. Customers keep their marketing consent exactly as Shopify recorded it, and nobody is emailed because of the import.

  • Your theme, apps and their data (such as Recharge subscriptions), automatic discounts written as code, and metafields with nothing to match.
  • Customers’ passwords.

Most of the time goes on exporting the files and reviewing your drafts. The import runs while you wait and shows its progress for each kind, and you can leave the page while it runs.

With a connection, the stock mirror keeps one Shopify location’s count and yours the same while you switch: the location your import read. The mirror starts from your count here: a sale at your old store between the import and the moment the mirror is set up isn’t counted again, because the mirror sets your old store to your count here. It runs in live mode only.

When your store is ready, choose Store settings, then Domains, and follow Move your domain from your old store. Your email records stay as they are, your certificate is ready before anything moves, and Tuppence never changes your records itself. It runs in live mode only.
