Add a product

You only need a name and a price to sell a product. Everything else is in its editor.

Who can do this: You need to be an owner, admin, manager or developer to do this.

Add it

In the dashboard, choose Products.
Choose New product.
Enter its Name.
Choose a Category, if you have them.
Enter its Price, for example 3.20.
Choose Add product.

The till shows the new product the next time it syncs.

Fill in the rest

Choose the product in the list to open its editor. Under The product you can set:

Short name: for receipts and tiles, when the name is long.
Description and Category.
Kind: for example Food, Drink, Retail or Service.
Cost: what it costs you, for margins. Leave it empty if you don’t know.
Tax class: keep the location’s default unless this product is taxed differently. See Add tax rates and classes.
SKU and Barcodes: separate several barcodes with commas or spaces.
Allergens: the list your country’s law uses.
Sold: where it’s sold, such as At the till.

Choose Save when you’re done.

The editor also has Options and variants (sizes and colours), Modifier groups (choices such as milks) and On the till (how its tile looks).

Archive a product

Choose Archive in its editor. It’s removed from the till and the product list. Past sales keep its name and price.
