Ask for tips at the till

Turn tips on

Who can do this: You need to be an owner, admin or manager to do this.

1. In the dashboard, choose Registers, then the register.
2. Under Tipping, tick Ask for a tip on the screen.
3. In Presets (%), enter up to five percentages, separated by commas, such as 12.5, 15.
4. Optionally, tick Let the customer type their own.
5. Choose Save the register.

At the till

When someone pays with Card by QR, the till first asks Add a tip to the amount, showing the presets worked out on what’s being paid. The customer taps a preset, Another amount or No tip.

The tip is added to what they pay. It’s never taxed or discounted.

The till doesn’t ask for a tip on cash or Other payments.
