Business type templates

The first step of Set up bookings, What do you do?, asks for your business type. Your choice fills in a starting point for you to edit.

  • Services, grouped into categories, with typical lengths and starting prices. Some come with add-ons, such as a removal before a gel manicure.
  • Typical Opening hours, and whether clients come to you, you go to them, or you meet online.
  • A booking policy: deposit, how late clients can cancel for free, the late-cancellation and no-show fees, how much notice you need and how far ahead clients can book.
  • Your booking page’s words: the About you text and a note clients see after they book.
  • Reminders for your clients.
  • Suggestions for where to share your page, such as Instagram, Google or WhatsApp.

You can change all of it. Prices start as “from” prices: your page shows, for example, “From £45$45€45” until you change the price type on the service’s page.

A template only fills in what’s missing. It never overwrites a service, hours or policy you’ve already changed. If you offer several kinds of service, pick your main one and add the rest by hand.

The types are in two groups. Online comes first, for businesses that meet customers by video call:

Software and SaaS · Agency and studio · Consultant · Coaching and mentoring · Online classes and workshops · Expert calls

In person is for businesses that clients visit, or that visit clients:

Barber · Beauty and aesthetics · Chiropractic · Cleaner · Counsellor and coach · Dog grooming · Driving instructor · Hair salon · Lashes and brows · Massage and spa · Mobile mechanic and detailing · Nails · Personal training · Pet care · Photographer · Physiotherapy and osteopathy · Sports massage · Tattoo and piercing · Tutor and music teacher · Yoga and pilates studio

Online types don’t need an address. Some, such as Expert calls and Online classes and workshops, take the full price at booking. You can change that in your policy.

If nothing fits, try another word in Search business types, or pick Consultant for a plain starting menu.
