Move from Squarespace
Bring your Squarespace store to Tuppence. You see a preview before anything is written, and you can undo the import for 14 days. The full steps are in Move your store.
Who can do this: You need to be an owner, admin or manager to do this.
What to export
Section titled “What to export”Connect with an API key, on the Squarespace plans that offer one:
- In Squarespace, go to Settings, then Advanced, then Developer API Keys, and choose Generate key.
- Give it read access to Products, Inventory, Orders and Profiles.
- Paste your site’s address and the key into Tuppence.
Otherwise go to Commerce, then Inventory, choose Export, and upload the file.
Then, in Tuppence, choose Store settings, then Move your store, choose Squarespace, and upload the files or paste the key.
What moves
Section titled “What moves”- Products, customers and orders as history (with a key); products from the export file.
Products arrive as drafts for you to review. Customers keep their marketing consent exactly as Squarespace recorded it, and nobody is emailed because of the import.
What doesn’t move
Section titled “What doesn’t move”- Your template and its design, and customers’ passwords.
How long it takes
Section titled “How long it takes”Most of the time goes on exporting the files and reviewing your drafts. The import runs while you wait and shows its progress for each kind, and you can leave the page while it runs.
Move your domain
Section titled “Move your domain”When your store is ready, choose Store settings, then Domains, and follow Move your domain from your old store. Your email records stay as they are, your certificate is ready before anything moves, and Tuppence never changes your records itself. It runs in live mode only.
