Simulate a dispute in test mode

Test mode lets you run a whole dispute with no real money or bank.

Who can do this: You need to be an owner, admin, manager or developer to do this.

1. Take a test payment with a card that succeeds. To skip the next step, choose Disputed: succeeds, then the bank takes it back instead.
2. On the payment’s page, choose Simulate a dispute. The dispute’s page opens.
3. Fill in the Evidence and choose Save draft. Then choose Submit evidence, then Submit for good.
4. Under Test mode, play the bank: choose Bank sides with you or Bank sides with them.

If you used the card that’s disputed automatically, open the dispute from the payment’s page with View dispute.

Watch Balance as you go. The amount is held while the dispute is open. It comes back if you win. If you lose, it stays gone and the dispute fee is charged. While your test payments are still pending, the fee shows as owed until your available balance covers it.
