Reject or close a connected account

Who can do this: You need to be an owner, admin, manager or developer to do this.

Reject an account

Rejecting stops its payments and payouts for good. You can still see and refund what it has already taken.

1. Open Connected accounts and choose the account.
2. Choose Reject.
3. In Why, choose Fraud, It broke your terms or Something else.
4. Choose Reject account.

Close an account

Closing keeps the account readable, but nothing more is paid out of it. In live mode, you can close an account only once its balance is zero and nothing is in dispute. In test mode, it closes whatever it holds.

1. Open the account and choose Close account.
2. Check the message. It says if the account still holds money.
3. Choose Close account.

Neither can be undone

Rejecting or closing is permanent, and applies only in the mode you’re in (test or live).
