Import from a spreadsheet
Who can do this: You need to be an owner, admin, manager or developer to do this.
If you’re moving everything over, import services and staff first, then clients, time off and bookings.
- Choose Settings in the sidebar, then Imports.
- Under What’s in the file?, choose Services, Staff, Clients, Time off or Upcoming bookings.
- Choose Choose a CSV file, or drop the file on the page.
- Under Match the columns, check which column in your file matches each field. Choose Not in this file for anything missing.
- Check Dates in the file: Day first or Month first.
- Choose Check these columns. Nothing is imported yet.
- Read What will happen: how many rows will import, which already exist, and which won’t import and why.
- Choose Import (the button shows how many), then confirm.
In Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets, save or download your spreadsheet as CSV. A file can be up to 1 MB and 5,000 rows. Split bigger files.
Duplicates
Section titled “Duplicates”Clients with the same email or phone number as an existing client aren’t added again. They show as Already here.
Bookings
Section titled “Bookings”Only upcoming bookings import. Cancelled and no-show rows are skipped. Imported bookings don’t send a confirmation, because your old system already did. Reminders for them come from you.
Undo an import
Section titled “Undo an import”For 24 hours after an import, open it under Imports, choose Undo import and confirm. Everything it created is removed, except anything used since, such as a client who’s booked again.
