Receipt printers and cash drawers

The till can’t connect to a receipt printer or a cash drawer yet. When it can, we’ll list the printers that work here.

Receipts today

When a sale is paid, the till shows the change to give and No receipt, next sale. It can’t print, email or text receipts yet.

You can set up receipts now. In the dashboard, open Registers, then the register, and go to Receipts:

• Header and Footer: your own lines at the top and bottom.
• Print the tax number: show your tax number on every receipt.
• Once an order is paid, offer: A printed receipt, An email, A choice, or Nothing (finish at once).
• Paper width: 58 mm or 80 mm, the two common till-roll sizes.

Receipt preview shows how it will look. Choose Save the register when you’re done. The till uses these settings once receipts can be sent.

Cash drawers

A cash drawer opens through the receipt printer it’s plugged into, so drawers will work when printers do. Until then, a cash sale finishes without opening a drawer. Keep the drawer key handy.

You can already give staff the right to Open the drawer without a sale, on their page under Staff.
