Unusual purchases by an agent

Tuppence builds a picture of what each agent normally spends. Open an agent from Cards and look under What’s normal for it: its usual amount, its high end, its largest purchase, and how many merchants and purchases that’s based on.

What counts as unusual

• Far more than it has ever spent.
• A merchant it has never used.
• An hour it never buys at.

Tuppence starts checking once the agent has made 20 purchases on 7 different days. Until then, the agent’s page says Still learning what’s normal.

What happens to an unusual purchase

The agent’s spending rules decide, under When a purchase is unusual for its agent:

• Ask a person first: it waits for an owner or admin to approve it. The request says why it’s unusual.
• Let it through, but flag it: it goes through and is marked unusual in the purchases list.
• Don’t check: nothing happens.

Unusual lately, on the agent’s page, lists recent unusual purchases and what happened to them.
