Approve what the store assistant prepares

Once your store is first published, the Tuppence Assistant starts a few jobs for it. Each runs on its own schedule and prepares work for you. Choose Assistant to see them.

Job What it does
Merchandising Keeps collections sorted by what sells, and prepares a collection and a home page section before big shopping days.
Restock Drafts orders to your suppliers so nothing runs out.
Returns Prepares each return as your policy says.
Listing quality Writes photo descriptions, search words and product details.
Risky orders Holds an order that looks risky before it’s sent, and says why.
Price suggestions Suggests prices for slow or under-cost stock, once a month.
Store health Checks your store every morning and fixes what’s safe to fix.
Promotions Prepares a discount code for stock that has stopped selling, and before big shopping days.
Policy approvals Shows what changed in a redrafted policy, and why.
Morning brief A short summary of the day, Monday to Saturday.

Under Approvals, the jobs’ work waits for you, newest first. Nothing changes until you approve it.

  1. Read what it prepared. Choose Approve, or Edit to change a value and then Approve with changes.
  2. Or choose Decline and say why. The assistant learns from your reason.

Anything that Moves money or Can’t be undone is approved one at a time, with a fresh code or Face ID. When a job has several ordinary changes waiting, Approve all takes them together. A proposal waits about a week, a purchase order three days.

You can also ask for a change in your own words under Ask for a change, such as “the blue mug is now twenty pounds and has 6 left”, and choose Prepare it. It’s waiting for you below.

Every morning, Store health checks for links shoppers keep missing, sales channels that stopped syncing, your own domain, pages that load slowly, failed checkouts, stock below zero, Apple Pay and Google Pay on your domain, policy updates left waiting, bounced store emails and missing product pictures.

It refreshes your store’s cached pages on its own and tells you. It asks before it adds a redirect for a missed link or tries a sales channel again. Everything else waits for you with a Fix it link. Once you’ve fixed it, choose Prepare it and Approve to mark it fixed. If the next morning’s check still finds it, it comes back.

Each Monday, Promotions looks for stock that hasn’t sold in 45 days, and for big shopping days six weeks away. It prepares a discount code for those products, only as deep as each product’s margin allows after the discount and card fees, so nothing is sold for too little. The code works for everyone who has it, in your online store.

A product with no cost price is left out, and the proposal says so with a link to add its cost. Approve to start the code, or choose Undo under Changes to end it.

Under Jobs, each action a job takes has a level:

  • Suggest: it only suggests; you choose to have it prepared.
  • Ask: it prepares the change and waits for you.
  • Act and tell: it makes the change and tells you.

Some actions have a ceiling they can never go above. Anything that moves money or can’t be undone, and every price, always asks. Words that make a claim about a product, promotions and orders above your purchase limit ask until you choose Lift the ceiling, with a fresh code or Face ID. After 20 approvals in a row with no edits, a job may offer to go one level higher; only you can accept.

Each job also has a Brief in your words, which can narrow what it does but never widen it, and Run now, Pause and Turn off. Pause all jobs stops them all. Jobs works within your monthly AI allowance and shows how much is used.

Who can do this: You need to be an owner or admin to do this.

Changes lists everything changed in your store: by the assistant, your team, your API keys and agents. Filter by who made it. Choose Undo on a change while nothing newer has touched the same thing. Publishing your site, shipping an order, labels and money can’t be undone this way.
