Set up your point of sale

The till sells what you set up in the dashboard, under two menu items: Products (what you sell and how it’s taxed) and Registers (where you sell, and on which devices).

Who can do this: You need to be an owner, admin or manager to do this.

Set it up in this order

1. Add what you sell under Products. See Add a product.
2. Check how this location charges tax on the Tax tab. See Set up tax at the till.
3. Make a register for each place you take money, under Registers. See Set up a register.
4. Pair an iPhone or iPad to the register. See Pair a device to a register.
5. Give everyone who serves a Till PIN. See Set till PINs and permissions.
6. Open a shift on the till with the float in the drawer, then start selling. See Sell at the till.

Optional extras

• Offer choices with a product, such as milks or sizes: Set up modifiers and Add sizes and variants.
• Arrange the till’s buttons: Arrange the till layout.
• Offer one-tap discounts: Set up discounts.
• Ask for tips: Ask for tips at the till.
