Send a campaign to your customers

A campaign is a one-off email from your store, such as a new range or a sale. It goes only to customers who said yes to your news, and only the ones who match what you chose.

Who can do this: You need to be an owner, admin or manager to do this.

  1. Choose Store, then Campaigns, then New campaign.
  2. Give it a Name (only you see it), a Subject and a Message. {business} and {first_name} in the subject are filled in for each customer.
  3. Choose what the Button says and which page it opens, such as /products/sea-salt-candle. Leave the page empty to open your home page.
  4. Under Who it’s for, choose the customers: what they bought from, what they have on their wishlist, whether they spent more than an amount, or whether they last ordered before a date. Leave everything as Anyone to send to every customer who said yes. The page shows how many customers match now.
  5. Choose Send me a test to see the email in your own inbox.
  6. Choose Send now, or set Send at in your business’s time and choose Schedule.

Who a scheduled campaign goes to is worked out when it goes, so a customer who says yes or no to your news before then is counted correctly. Until then you can Unschedule it and change it.

Open a sent campaign to see its Results: how many customers it was sent to, how many it wasn’t sent to, how many clicked, and the orders and sales it brought.

Flows are emails your store sends on its own to customers who said yes to your news: after a checkout left unpaid, a welcome after signing up, after an order, after a long gap, when a price drops and on a birthday. Each works without any setup. Choose Store, then Campaigns, then Flows to see each one, whether it’s on, and what it sent and the orders it led to.

  • Choose Turn off or Turn on.
  • Choose Edit the words to change a flow’s subject, heading, message and button, then Save the words. Saving approves them: they’re what the flow sends from then on. Choose Use Tuppence’s words to go back.

If too many customers unsubscribe or report a flow’s emails as spam, the flow pauses itself and shows Paused. Review the email, change its words if you need to, then choose I’ve reviewed it, turn it back on.

The Tuppence Assistant and AI agents can write a campaign as a draft, change it, schedule or unschedule it and see how it did. They can also turn a flow on or off, change its words, and turn a paused flow back on. A campaign never takes a list of people: it goes to the customers who said yes and match when it sends. The assistant shows each change for you to approve first.
