Set up delivery and labels for your store

Choose Shipping. Your store can deliver from the start: we set up rates from your address, so you only need to check them.

Who can do this: You need to be an owner, admin or manager to do this.

Your store starts with a United Kingdom zone and Royal Mail Tracked 48 and Tracked 24, priced by weight at the carrier’s price, rounded up to the next 10p.

Your store starts with a United States zone and USPS Ground Advantage and Priority Mail, priced by weight at the carrier’s price, rounded up to the next 10¢.

Every shop with opening hours and stock also gets a free option to collect from it.

  1. Read your zones and rates. Choose Edit to change one, Add a rate to a zone, or Add a zone for more countries or postcode areas.
  2. Use What shoppers see to try an address, a weight and a basket value, and see the options, prices and dates a shopper would.
  3. Choose Confirm these rates. This ticks it off your store’s checklist.

A rate can be one price, priced by weight or basket value in bands, free above a basket value, or the carrier’s own price at checkout with your own amount or percentage added. Choose My own way (no carrier label) for a service you arrange yourself.

Products with no weight are listed under Weights we’ve guessed. Add each one’s real weight on its Web tab so delivery is priced right.

Under Packages, add the boxes and envelopes you pack in, with their empty weight and size. Delivery is priced on the products’ weight plus the smallest package that fits. Choose Make default for the one you use most.

Under Labels, labels come from your Tuppence balance at the carrier’s price, with nothing added. You don’t need an account with any carrier. If your balance doesn’t cover a label, what’s owed waits for your next payments, up to a limit; at the limit, labels pause until it’s paid. In test mode, labels say TEST and come from your test balance.

Have a contract with a carrier? Under Your own carrier account, fill in its details and choose Connect account. We check it with a test quote first. The carrier then bills you for the labels, and you can choose to fall back to your balance if the account stops working.

Labels print as 4x6 inch PDFs, on a thermal label printer or plain paper, from your computer’s print dialog.

Under Collection, turn on Shoppers choose a collection time and set how soon orders are ready, how long each time is and how many orders each takes. Turn on Deliver locally with your own driver to offer delivery to postcode areas you choose, with a fee and an optional minimum order.

The Tuppence Assistant and AI agents can read your rates and what shoppers would be offered, buy and void labels, and close the day and book a carrier collection where your carrier needs one. A rate change is a price, so you always approve it when the assistant suggests one.
